My Dad was in Korea and drove convoy like this. On the one he drove it was nicknamed The Red Ball Express. They drove ammo and supplies to the front they had right of way to all traffic on the on any road. He told me about a check point on a bridge the MP stopped the entire convoy to Mess with them , once they got moving the last truck in the Line tossed a grenade into the MP shack just to show him. When they returned the MP waved them on thru, They never had a problem again.

Anybody notice that when they threw grenades at the 2nd mortar site that the Private's throw was about 20 yards short and to the far left…. and never exploded. But the one the Sarge threw exploded 3 times…..

Iron Angel is a B film, but certainly watchable, as it has character actor L.Q. Jones, who did a lot of westerns. The film is available on war film packs, which contain usually always copyright free films, so you never have to worry on posting these ones which is great!

my dad was in Korea and it damn sure wasn"t some "police action" it was a bloody murderous war! He had a first Lt. just like this guy in the film and got them pinned down in a heavy crossfire. The Lt. got up and ran taking the radio man assigned to him with him. The young medic took off chasing the Lt while my dad"s platoon was still pinned down and shot to hell. My dad had to shoot the medic in the ass to get him to stop. My dad of course was court martialed but the charges were dropped due to the circumstances. He hated officers from that point on. My dad was a Gunnery sgt in the Marine Corp. When I joined up in 1980 at 18 and was offered a commission and he had one hell of a fit, but i reminded him that he always taught me to use my head not my back so being an officer just made sence and was following his teaching. He called me a smart ass and smiled. He was decorated many times and wounded in battle several times but made it out ok. He died in 06 from stomach cancer. I miss my dad, he was my hero and as i think back about it, all my heros came from him. Gen Stonewall Jackson, Gen George S Patton Jr, John Adams just to name a few. He introduced me to Elvis music and Elvis was a hero too. If you still have your dad, tell them how you feel about him because hero or not, they die. I miss my dad more than anyone I have ever known. Ohh, this movie was pretty good. Not awesome but pretty good. Don't let the gov convience you that this was indeed a police action and not a war. The soldiers that fought on both sides well tell you, it was war. Politicians are liars, all of them! But i will save that conversation for another time. Kinda cool to see JR's father in a war…lol (JR Ewing from the tv show Dallas, back in the late 70's and early 80's. Man I loved JR, always getting the best out of his rivals…lol)
